Aris was appointed VP, Director Corporate Strategy and Corporate Development for ITT Industries in June 2006. Prior to Aris, ITT did not have a dedicated role for M&A. In his comments, Aris will discuss his experience in building a new M&A program from the ground up. He will discuss best practices around developing a pipeline, working internally with complementary areas of executive leadership, as well as optimizing processes around due diligence. He may also discuss “lessons learned” from some recent transactions, specifically the experience on deals in which private equity and hedge funds where actively involved in the negotiations.
