Roger Carlile
Senior Managing Director & Leader, Forensic & Litigation Consulting

Roger Carlile is the senior managing director and leader of FTI’s Forensic and Litigation Consulting segment.
Mr. Carlile specializes in forensic accounting and dispute consulting services. He provides expert witness testimony related to a variety of subject matters including allegations of financial reporting fraud, vendor/employee fraud, intellectual property theft and infringement, breach of contract and other claims. Mr. Carlile also provides financial statement auditing services and consulting services to clients in various industries as well as consulting services for bankruptcy/corporate recoveries, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. He has acted as arbitrator on various issues.
Mr. Carlile’s litigation and dispute advisory experience includes assisting in matters such as antitrust/interruption, breach of contract, franchise disputes, wrongful termination and lost profits. He also has experience with disputes arising from bankruptcies, including claims relating to fraudulent conveyance, preferential transfers and insolvency.
Prior to joining FTI, Mr. Carlile was the Global and Americas leader of KPMG’s Forensic Services practice, which included its Dispute Advisory Services, Investigative & Integrity Advisory Services and Forensic Technology Services segments. Previously, Mr. Carlile worked for a major broker dealer firm and two international accounting/consulting firms.

Mr. Carlile is a member of the American Arbitration Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Society of Appraisers, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Licensing Executive Society, and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Carlile holds a bachelor of business administration in accounting from Angelo State University. He is a certified public accountant, accredited senior appraiser, accredited business valuator and certified fraud examiner.
Ruth Haile

Ruth Haile is a senior managing director in the Trial Services practice of FTI’s Forensic and Litigation Consulting segment. She is based in Los Angeles. Results have been achieved throughout her career in highly competitive and rapidly-changing environments through proven strengths in strategic planning, leading teams to deliver business objectives, problem-solving, implementing systemic process improvements, interface management and developing organization capability – recruiting, training, coaching/developing.
Financial Management – budget development, revenue and profit forecasting, capital planning, financial analysis, expense management. During period 2001 – 2003, Litigation Consulting Practice revenue grew 45% from $25.2M to $36.7M, while EBITDA more than doubled, from $3.3M to $8.5M. Operations contributions included right-sizing staff, developing optimal mix of employees and contractors to staff matters, implementing skill-based assessments in hiring, rigorous application of project management processes.
Operations Management – manage project management with responsibility for enhanced client service, engagement logistics, and activities affecting cash flow and matter profitability such as establishing letters of engagement, constructing and managing to budget, invoicing, collecting retainers and accounts receivable.
Human Resources – recruiting, hiring, skill development, termination, performance appraisal and career development, compensation design and management. Focus on creating high employee morale, low attrition and managing risk/adverse impact.
Strategic Planning – work with practice leaders to analyze competition, understand client needs, define organization strengths and opportunities, and develop plan for profitable growth.
Interface Management – Serve as liaison with corporate teams such as Accounting, Human Resources and ITG, and provide site facility management for Los Angeles office.
