Thomas J. Doll

Thomas J. Doll is executive vice president and CFO for Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA), headquartered in Cherry Hill, N.J. He is responsible for overseeing the operations of the human resources, treasury, tax, legal, accounting, finance, business planning and finance, information technology, customer loyalty and dealer financial services for Subaru, its company-owned regional offices and independent distributors. Doll joined SOA in 1982. From 1985-1988, Doll was the manager of treasury operations. In 1988 he was promoted to director of treasury operations and then to director of accounting one year later. In 1991, Doll became vice president of business and strategic planning. From there, he was promoted to CFO, responsible for business and strategic planning, budgeting, controller functions, accounting and financial reporting. Prior to joining SOA, he spent five years at Arthur Young and Company. Doll received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Villanova University in Villanova, Pa. and a master’s degree from Drexel University. Doll is active in several financial organizations including the American Institute of CPAs.

 

Gary L. Ellis
Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President
Medtronic, Inc.

Gary Ellis was named Sr. Vice President and Chief Financial Officer effective May 1, 2005. He is responsible for the following functions: treasury, tax controllership, internal audit, and investor relations. Shortly after being named CFO, Gary was made responsible for Global Business Solutions (which includes quality, supply chain, facilities, etc.) at Medtronic. In October 1999, Ellis was named Vice President, Corporate Controller and Treasurer, adding the Corporate Treasury functions to his area of responsibility. Ellis was named Vice President and Corporate Controller in August 1994, with responsibility for the finance and accounting functions throughout Medtronic. Ellis had been promoted to Vice President of Finance for Medtronic Europe in 1992 after joining Medtronic in 1989 as Assistant Corporate Controller.

Before coming to Medtronic, Ellis was a Senior Audit Manager for Price Waterhouse where, in addition to several other responsibilities, he managed the Medtronic audit for nearly ten years. He has worked with several large corporate organizations, as well as providing audit services to numerous non-profit organizations.

Ellis received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1978 from the University of South Dakota. Gary is very active in community activities and has contributed many years of service on the Board of Directors and as President of his local church and other non-profit organizations. He serves on the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association at the national level and is currently a member of the Minnesota Society of CPAs.

Ellis currently resides in Woodbury, Minnesota, with his wife, Sue. They have two children.

 

Patricia McKay
Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Office Depot

Patricia A. McKay joined Office Depot as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in September 2005.  Pat came to Office Depot from Restoration Hardware, Inc., where she served as the Executive Vice President & CFO since October 2003.  Previously, she held the position of Sr. Vice President of Finance at AutoNation, and rose to become the Vice President of Finance and Controller at Dole Food Company.  Pat is a certified public accountant and worked for ten years with a major international public accounting firm.  Separately, she served as a member of Office Depot’s board of directors from May 2004 until assuming her role as our CFO in September 2005.

 

Richard M. Paschal
CFO & VP, Global Finance
Godiva Chocolatier, Inc.

Rick Paschal has served as Chief Financial Officer & Vice President, Global Finance of Godiva Chocolatier Worldwide since 2004, with responsibility for all financial accounting, reporting, control and strategic planning activities.

Previously, Rick was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Nestlé Ice Cream Company for almost four years. Prior to Nestlé, he worked for The Pillsbury Company for a decade in a series of senior finance, business development, and general management roles in the U.S., France, Sweden, and Hong Kong. There, Rick focused on building the Häagen Dazs brand around the globe, while also working on other international brands in the Pillsbury portfolio. He has also worked for Pepsi-Cola International, and he was in international corporate banking for five years.

Rick earned his Bachelor of Science degree in finance from The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, and his M.B.A. degree from Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, also at the University of Virginia.

 

Doug Pattison
Chief Financial Officer
Harpo, Inc.

Doug Pattison graduated from the University of Maryland majoring in Accounting and started his career with FBI working in Washington D.C. and Oklahoma City.  In 1983, he joined Price Waterhouse and worked in the tax department and later transferred to the Chicago office in 1987.  In 1993, he joined Harpo as the Controller and later was promoted to the Chief Financial Officer.  He is presently responsible for all areas of accounting and finance for this group of entities primarily engaged in the media and entertainment business.

 

Derica Rice
Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Eli Lilly & Company

Derica W. Rice became senior vice president and chief financial officer of Lilly in May 2006. He is also a member of the company’s policy and strategy committee and operations committee. Rice had been the vice president and controller since July 2003.

Born in Decatur, Alabama, he received a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Kettering University (formerly the GMI Engineering & Management Institute) in 1988 and a master's degree in business administration in 1990 from Indiana University.

Rice joined the company in 1990 as an international treasury associate. He held various assignments as a sales representative, manager of global financial planning and analysis for the medical devices division, and global planning manager for pharmaceuticals. In 1995, he became finance director and chief financial officer for Lilly Canada. In 1997, Rice was promoted to executive director and chief financial officer for European operations based in London. In 2000, he was the general manager of Lilly United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.

Rice serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Clarian Health North and the Board of Governors of the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
