The Harvard Business School Club of Connecticut consists of 3,000 business school alumni who, as a group, have made a deep commitment to fostering business leadership. Many of the members are active at the board level and leadership positions at numerous leading business organizations that are at the forefront of innovative business practices to create enormous social and financial wealth for their stakeholders. The membership, on the whole, is extremely active in the community and have taken leadership positions in and contribute a significant portion of their personal time to local charitable organizations as well as a wide variety of not for profit activities.

The Harvard Business School Club of Connecticut, in partnership with Argyle Executive Forum, is organizing this one day event. The HBS Alumni listed below were responsible for putting this event together for the club.

Gautam Ramchandani is the President of the HBS Club of Connecticut (HBSCT Club). He also is the Co-Founder and President of the HBS Asian American Alumni Association. Gautam is founder and CEO of a strategy consulting firm that helps clients unlock the value of globalization by enhancing their cross border activities, leveraging disruptive technologies and optimizing human capital supply chains. He is currently engaged in several projects that involve the use of insurance wraps and energy derivatives to create assured arbitrage strategies for the alternative investment industry.

Jacob Navon is the Treasurer of the HBS Club of Connecticut. He is currently a Partner in the firm of Westwood Partners LLC. Jacob has more than twenty years of financial services experience as an investment manager and an executive search professional. Specializing in senior level search within the asset management industry, Jacob has successfully executed a full spectrum of assignments on behalf of clients ranging from small investment boutiques and hedge funds to large, globally integrated asset management companies. Jacob’s particular expertise is in asset management team lift-outs.

Tom Clephane is the Chair of the HBSCT Club Hosting Committee for the Hedge Fund Leadership Forum organized by the Club. He is Managing Director, Morgan Stanley, where he started his career in 1979. Tom’s specialty focus is on global transactions in the forest paper and products industry. Over the past five years, he has been actively involved in raising over $6.0bn of debt and equity capital for Asian clients and coordinated over $4.0bn of international M&A transactions in China, Russia, Brazil, and Chile. Tom is a member of the Belle Haven Club and our host for the event.
